We use secure, encrypted systems that meet or exceed PHIPA standards:
Practice Better EMR for health records (Canadian-hosted)
Microsoft 365 encrypted email
FAXAGE secure faxing for lab requisitions
Encrypted and password-protected devices with two-factor authentication
All staff and contractors follow strict confidentiality agreements.

You have the right to:
View or request a copy of your health record
Ask for corrections to inaccurate information
Withdraw or limit your consent for sharing your information
Ask questions or make a complaint about how your information is handled

All communication with our clinic must take place though the secure messaging system in Practice Better. This platform is encrypted, PHIPA-compliant, and allows us to safely review your questions and health information.
We only use email for administrative notifications such as appointment reminders, intake forms, invoices, and receipt delivery. Email is not monitored for clinical questions, urgent concerns, or medical advice.
Do not use email to communicate symptoms, medication issues, side effects, or urgent medical needs.
For any medical concern, please schedule an appointment through the booking link or call 911 in an emergency.
Although reasonable safeguards are used, electronic communication carries inherent privacy risks. By receiving messages from Harmony Health & Hormones, you acknowledge that email is not a fully secure form of communication.

Appointments are provided by scheduled virtual visits only. We do not offer walk-in, urgent, or on-call services.
Non-urgent questions may be sent through Practice Better secure messaging, where they will be reviewed during business hours. Clinical questions, medications adjustments, and assessment of new symptoms must be addressed during a booked appointment.

Harmony Health & Hormones provides hormone care for women and men aged 30 and older in Ontario who are experiencing perimenopause, menopause, and age-related hormone changes. We use Health Canada-approved bioidentical hormones when clinically appropriate prescribed under Nurse Practitioner supervision.
Gender-affirming (transgender) hormone therapy is not part of the clinical services offered at this practice, as it requires specialized expertise. Individuals seeking this type of care are best supported through clinics that focus on gender-affirming hormone management.
Individuals with active cancer should not book an appointment and should discuss hormone therapy directly with their oncology or specialty team.
